Drawing inspiration from modern second language pedagogy, the textbook features a leveled approach to language learning in a purely Tibetan medium. Levels are based on the CEFR, the standard framework of reference for learning, teaching, and assessing language skills.
Levels A1, A2, & B1 are represented in this release.
Know that this represents the earliest version of what we hope will become an even better resource for the study of the Tibetan language. Work on levels B2 through C2 has already begun, and we are also in the midst of editing and updating the versions that are now being released.
Future versions will feature a more aesthetic layout; more interactive media content, such as audio & video; and a research-based structure to the teaching methodology.
Please download and share freely; the textbook is open-source, and available to anyone, anywhere! Find it at any time by clicking “resources” and opening the “TSL Textbook” folder.
